I love it when a truth speaks so loudly to me that I recognize an opportunity to elevate myself.
At this year’s Inspire Summit, I experienced exactly that moment.
Now in our third year, watching it grow into has been deeply meaningful. Each year we gather women with a single intention: to create a space where mentorship, community, and courageous conversations propel women forward in both their careers and personal lives.
It is no coincidence that we host the Inspire Summit in March. Across the world, March is a time dedicated to recognising and advancing women through International Women’s Day. For us, however, it is not just about celebration — it is about activation. It is about bringing women together to learn from one another, build powerful support networks, and most importantly, find the courage to step fully into who they are meant to be.
A Conversation That Sparked a Shift
This year’s theme, “Finding Your Voice,” was led by keynote speaker Nomndeni Sethole Mdakhi, founder and CEO of Agenda Women. Her message struck a chord that many of us in the room will carry with us for a long time.
At one point during her talk, she shared a powerful reflection that felt like a lightbulb moment:
“Every single thing that is happening in your life is the beginning of a conversation about what you need to do.”
Many of us realised that the challenges, the opportunities, the discomfort, and even the setbacks we experience are not random. They are invitations. Conversations waiting to happen. They are invitations for who we are becoming.
But remember, Nomndeni shared, your experiences are not you. They are for you.
They exist to stretch you, to grow you, and to teach you something you could not learn any other way.
And the question is: are we ready for them?
The False Humility Trap
I recognised something many women experience but rarely articulate — the way we sometimes hide behind what appears to be humility. Not the healthy humility of staying grounded, but the quieter, more dangerous version: the kind that keeps us from raising our hands, speaking up, or positioning ourselves for opportunity. Many of us convince ourselves that we are simply “being humble.”
But what if, in reality, we are silencing ourselves? And consequently, preventing ourselves from having the conversations new experiences can teach us.
When we continually quiet our voice, the message we unintentionally send to the world is that we are not ready. We hesitate to put ourselves forward, and when opportunities arise, our names are not the first that come to mind because we have not positioned ourselves to be seen.
Finding your voice is not about being loud or dominating a room. It is about intentional positioning. It is about aligning your mindset, your presence, and your visibility in ways that communicate clearly: I am here. I am ready.
For me personally, this was a profound moment of reflection. As women, we sometimes become so skilled at stepping back that we start to attach noble qualities to it. We tell ourselves we are being gracious, respectful, or patient. Yet in doing so, we may be dimming the very voice that could open doors, create impact, and inspire others.
“Hokoyo!” because the truth is, the world does not benefit from our silence. It benefits from our participation.
Powerful Voices at Inspire Summit 2026
Beyond the keynote conversation, the Inspire Summit was enriched by two remarkable voices who brought depth and practical insight to the day.
Pamela Chinhoyi, founder of The Finishing School and a leadership and transformation strategist, delivered a powerful workshop focused on self-discovery and confident leadership. Her session equipped participants with practical tools to help individuals and teams lead with greater clarity, purpose, and authenticity.
Completing the lineup was Sherree Shereni, founder of Eminence Business Academy and a respected business leader whose work spans corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment. Sherree shared insights drawn from years of leadership experience, reminding us that authenticity, courage, and resilience are the foundations of impactful leadership.
Together, these voices, and all those in attendance, created an environment that was not only inspiring but deeply empowering.
The Decision to Use Your Voice
Finding your voice is not a single moment — it is a decision you make repeatedly. Every time you choose to speak up, step forward, or allow yourself to be visible, you strengthen that voice.
When women find their voices, something powerful happens. Communities grow stronger. Businesses grow bolder. And the next generation sees what is possible.
Let’s Continue the Conversation
The Inspire Summit exists to nurture exactly that kind of transformation.
If conversations like these resonate with you — if you are looking for mentorship, community, and access to powerful conversations and events designed to help women grow — I would love it if you use your voice so that I get to hear from you. DM me, I’m listening!
